The First Rock Project

Your support will cover a week-long expedition to South Africa – the site of several ancient rock gongs – which will include collaboration with paleo-anthropologists and a local musician to create music in the field. The addition of another country to the album will reinforce the pan-African significance of these instruments, and create opportunities for more musical collaborations that offer a glimpse into our past and celebrate our shared human ancestral cultural heritage.
