YOUR IMPACT BEGINS TODAY
Living Pathways is an initiative that combines the powers of community building, cutting-edge technology, local empowerment, education and storytelling, to forge innovative pathways towards sustainable human–wildlife coexistence in the world’s unprotected areas.
Led by National Geographic Explorer Christian Rutz, this project aspires to build a global network of 250 field teams over 10 years to track ~10,000 animals across gradiants of land modifications worldwide by leveraging cutting-edge animal-tracking technology. It aims to address the challenge of understanding how animals move across human-modified landscapes, and how they are affected by different types of land modification and varying levels of human disturbance.
Your donation to the Connected Planet project is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The National Geographic Society maintains full discretion and control over the use of all gifts. If this project becomes fully funded, is discontinued, or its goals can no longer be met, the Society will redirect your contribution to a similar initiative that aligns with our mission to illuminate and protect the wonder of our world.
